Pan Am Treat

I love love love the new ABC show Pan Am. I have always had a massive girly crush on Flight Attendants, although I much preferred when they were called Stewardesses. I had planned on dressing as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz for Halloween, but seriously? I need to be a Pan Am stewardess! I will rock that hat and for real? The bag. Dear God I love that bag.

Made me think about this picture from Clemson Rush 1995, our theme for the skit round was Theta Airlines. We employed the 2 finger point (which I perfected in my years working at Disney!) and for the record, I have the same hair and makeup...16 years later.

If only I still fit in that navy skirt...

I have always, always, always, loved reading your blog. My sister found it a couple of years ago and we both read it all the time. Today, when you posted your Rush Week picture, I finally realized why you felt like such a kindred spirit. My sister and I were both Thetas at Clemson several years ago. It's always so cool to find a sister! Love the blog!

I missed that show - will have to tune in! Yeah, I have similar photos from my senior year in college, 1995. Too funny. :)

I love that show too!! And I also prefer the word stewardess. I was thinking of being a Pan Am stewardess for Halloween, too. I was looking for costumes on line and have only found things that are, um, slutty. My husband thought that was fine (of course) but we attend a family Halloween party so that certainly won't work! I guess I need to put on my sewing hat! Love your picture from Rush...

I worked for Delta for a short time...I thought it was going to be SO glam. Until I was yelled at in Korean at 5:00 a.m. He was going to New York, but his luggage went elsewhere and his drink tickets went to the college kid in line behind him who said "Good morning" nicely to me.
Don't mess with the uniform. (I seriously loved using the little handheld microphones at the gates making announcements though...childhood dream #122 fulfilled!)

Wow, you look so much like Ryan in this picture! (or vice versa I suppose)
